Many thanks to all of the Coventry students and families that participated in our annual PTA sponsored fundraiser. Our PTA sponsors a variety of family activities for our students and they provide generous and valuable classroom support for our school through this fundraising effort. We are grateful for your participation!

It can be hard to fit "family reading time" into today's hectic schedules.

You know how important attendance is at work--if you miss even one day, it can take a while to catch up on the work you missed.
Attendance is just as important for your child at school. Learning builds day by day--if your child misses even one day of school, he can fall behind. The skills children are taught at school improve with practice. When children read every day, they learn to read faster and understand what they read better. When they do math every day, they learn to solve problems more quickly.

There are several days devoted to School Improvement listed on our school calendar. District #47 School Improvement Days give the staff of Coventry School an opportunity to discuss, identify, plan, and work toward goals that will benefit our children. We use this time to take the opportunity to analyze data, reflect on student progress, evaluate our movement towards our school goal, and design specific procedures that will foster academic growth for students.

    On November 24th and 25th we will be hosting conferences regarding academic and behavioral progress for the first trimester. All students in first through fifth grade will participate in their conferences as they share their progress and set goals for future learning. The goals for the children include:
