Now is a great time to take a second and be sure that all of your information in the Honeywell Instant Alert System is current - phone numbers, etc.
Simply go to District 47's website and locate the Honeywell 'icon' on the home page (column on the right side). Then click the box and follow the prompts to either "set up" or "edit" your information.
For the families that may be new to West School, the Instant Alert system is a way for District 47 to convey information to every D47 family via phone and/or email. For example, this system is used if there is inclement weather and schools are closed during the winter time.

West Elementary's Family Library Night will kick off the new school year on Thursday, September 16th from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. It's a wonderful time for you and your child/children to share books and check out some books to read at home. Preschool children are invited to come and participate as well. Make it a family event!
Family Library Night is usually held on the third Thursday of each month. We have special read aloud times, book check-out, and even free book drawings. We'd love to see you on September 16. Join us for a night of fun.

Our Spirit Wear coordinator this year is Kari Hartman. We're very excited to offer some new designs, colors and tie-dye apparel at lower prices. Samples of the spirit wear are hanging in the front entryway and pictures are now available for viewing on this West's District 47 website. Go to Spirit Wear under the "About Us" section on the left-hand side of the web page. You will find a printable order form at that location.
